Hub drivers
Drivers are not firmware. A driver tells your hub how to talk to the device; firmware is the code inside the device. If your device works by button but shows wrong or missing features in the hub, you probably need a driver, not a firmware update.
- Hubitat & SmartThings Drivers (14 Hubitat drivers + SmartThings Edge Driver channel)
Before you update
- Check your current firmware version in the hub app first.
- Match the series exactly: a 700 Series file will not flash on an 800 Series device (and can brick it).
- Powered plugs: don’t unplug during the update. Battery remotes (MR40Z): press a button during the transfer to keep the device awake.
- SmartThings does not support third-party Z-Wave OTA. Contact ask@minoston.com if your SmartThings-connected device needs a fix.
