On our single-outlet plug lineup (MP21Z, MP21ZP, MP22Z, MP31Z family), the reset gesture is:

**Press the button twice quickly, then press and hold the third press for about 10 seconds.**

The status light blinks fast, then settles. The plug is now back to factory defaults and has left any Z-Wave network it was joined to.

Two things to know before you do it:

- **Reset also removes it from your hub.** In most hubs the device turns into a dead node that you should delete manually afterwards.
- **Reset wipes custom parameters.** If you changed LED behavior, auto-off timers or power reporting, note the values first. They are listed in your model’s manual.

If you only want to move the plug to a new hub, you do not need a full reset. Run exclusion from the old hub instead, which is gentler and keeps the device healthy.
